I’m New

New to IBT? We’re thrilled!
Let’s get to know eachother.

EXALT

“In everything we do, we desire to exalt Jesus Christ!  We determine to preach the Word of God correctly and live by it!  We desire to be led by the Spirit of God and to live a life pleasing to our Father!  We aim to do as John 3:30 states, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Our goal is not to focus on ourselves, but to focus on the greatness of Christ!”   Philippians 2:5-11

EQUIP

“John 8:31 tells us that if we continue (obey) in the words of Christ then we are disciples “indeed” (no doubt).  Our goal at IBT is to train those in the church in the Word of God and encourage them to live as God’s Word instructs.  Not only will this help the believer grow in their faith, but it also will encourage them to reach the “lost” for Christ. Our aim is to teach the believer to be a defender of the Christian faith and to be passionate about sharing their faith.”

ENGAGE

“According to Matthew 28:18-20 we are to go into all the world with the good news of Jesus Christ!   Currently we have over 30 foreign mission works that we financially support on a monthly basis but we also desire to reach our local community.  We financially support 5 local ministries and have 3 free community events each year with the purpose of sharing the love of Christ to our neighbors.  These events are fun and designed to reach kids and families.  We desire to share God’s Word at all times but we also what to share life with people as well.  Sharing our lives will hopefully lead others to want new life through Jesus Christ!

Our Pastor

One of my favorite Bible verses is John 10:10. This verse states, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy: I am come that the might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” I love this verse because it specifically tells us what the devil’s plan is and what God’s plan is. The devil’s goal is to steal, kill and destroy and he seems to be doing a great job at that. However, God sent Jesus into the world to give us abundant life and to be made free from the death-grip of satan. My goal, and the goal for IBT, is to tell people about freedom and new life with Jesus Christ! We also equip God’s disciples to reach our community for Him. If you are looking for a church like this please come visit and be a part of what God is doing on the Southside of Indy!

Learning to Become a Man of God

Learning to not let fear dictate our lives
  • Saul tried to kill David (1 Samuel 18, 19, 24, 26)
  • Saul repents of this, but David didn’t believe him (1 Samuel 26:21-25) and runs to Gath, where the people hated him for killing Goliath (1 Sam 17)
    • Fear of man:
      • Leads you to make unwise decisions that simply don’t make sense
      • Leads you to become desperate

Flickering or Flourishing?

We have had some new lights installed in our house recently that look great but have had us a little worried lately.  The reason that we were concerned is because as soon as the air conditioning would turn on, the lights would flicker for a brief moment making us think that we might have some electrical issues.  After checking with an electrician about the issue and finding out that we didn’t have anything to worry …

Power and Peace!

Over my time in ministry there are many things that I have learned about people and especially about myself that I would love to share with you.  Actually the list could be very long and not all of it would be positive, yet I think it would be a very real look at us!  Since I don’t have that much room to write the complete list, there are two things that stick out to me about my …

Impacted by 10 year olds!

I met a couple of kids this past week while on our church mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico that really impacted me!  Both are 10 year old boys named Chi and David.  Chi asked me to pray with him because his father has been missing for 4 months.  Back on March 25th his father went to work that morning and called home that evening to say that he was g …
